Do we really live in an inclusive society ??

Am I invisible ? It is bizarre in a society where people have so many rights that so few people show due consideration to people who are less able than themselves, whether this is through an injury or being elderly. It is surprising how few people will move for you when walking down the high street or crossing the road how many cars are pushing you to go faster than you are able.

Is this because we all live in our own wee bubble that people don’t pay attention anymore or is it that our fast paced lives simply don’t accommodate for anyone except ourselves? If this is the case how can we encourage people to slow down, to stop and realise and to help or just be a little selfless and more sympathetic and respectful.

Hello. (by the way I am still writing a reply to your last email, it's on it's way)

i thought I would tell you about a really good book that might help you with your project. it's about disabilities, the perception of them and kinda about inclusive design. But it's all DESIGN related and not medical facts. it's written by one of the lecturer in Dundee. His name is graham pullin even if you wanted to contact him. Also try andrew cook. he's also very helpful. But the book is called 'design meets disabliity' he uses loads of great examples and it's really really thought provoking. Hope you enjoy

Cool thank you for that it looks really good. Have been meaning to drop you a message too about your project with ref to things like seed banks it might be an idea to look at Kew gardens and all that they do and also there is a project in nothern norway where they are storing seeds and stuff its like the bigest in the world and the only way they can do it is because the cave or something provided optimal preservation thought it would be worth a look will see if i can find the link for you =)
